The former stationmaster’s apartment and the attic storage space have been converted into top-notch vacation apartments. The first floor of the old Leipzig-Möckern train station served as the stationmaster’s official residence. This was absolutely typical for small and medium-sized train stations around 1900 and was part of the standard design principles of railway architecture at the time.
Apartement One
The second floor—or rather, the attic—was not actually a common room, but a functional storage area for the train station. In buildings like this, general cargo, tools, spare parts, fuel, files, railway equipment, signaling equipment, and seasonal operating supplies were typically stored at that time.
